BOOKINGS
How can I reserve one of your campervans?
In our website you will find all the info about the campers and the equipment. For bookings we will need you to send us a requirement by email and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.
Is there a minimum rental period?
Our minimum rental period is 3 days.
Is the price always the same?
No, the price may vary depending on the number of nights you reserve your camper van. The more nights you book, the cheaper it will be.
Does the reservation have to start on a certain day, for example, Monday to Monday?
Our offices are open 7 days a week, therefore booking can begin any day of the week.
Why do prices change?
We use a dynamic pricing structure. Daily rates vary depending on availability, seasonality and campervan model. Our pricing strategy is transparent. Your motorhome will be fully equipped for sleeping, cooking and relaxing. Each rental includes rental insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance.
I arrive outside your office hours. Can I pick up the caravan?
Our public service hours are from 8:00h in the morning to 21.00h in the afternoon. The rate for early pick-up or returns before 9:00 a.m. or late pick-up or return after 8:00 p.m. has an extra fee of €25.
Do I have to pay a deposit to guarantee the reservation?
Yes, we require a down payment to reserve your campervan of 100€. You can pay the remaining balance in cash or with your credit or debit card upon arrival.
What type of cards can I pay with?
You can pay through a credit or debit card from the Visa, Maestro, Matercard, American Express and PayPal. The remaining balance is due upon arrival and can be paid in cash or by credit or debit card. If you have questions about your card limit, please contact us so we can process payment before your arrival.
How do I pay the deposit guarantee on arrival?
The deposit guarantee is 500€, and it can be paid by cash or card.
When will you return my deposit guarantee?
Security deposits are returned approximately within 24 or 48 hours after returning your camper. It may take several weeks if you have to wait for a quote to repair the damage.
REQUIREMENTS
Can I rent a motorhome if I am under 25 years old?
We can rent to under 25 years old if you are at least 5 years old with a driving license and a minimum age of 23 years old. Always under demand, and only certains campervans.
How many people can drive the motorhome?
The price includes a main driver. You can add a driver for €15/day or by adding the insurance that includes this option.
PICK UPS AND RETURS TERMS
What are the office hours?
Our offices, initially, are open from 8:00h to 21:00h. Please contact us for any requests outside of normal office hours.
What are the pickup/return terms?
Normal pick-up hours are from 14:00h. to 21:00h. Campers must be returned between 8:00h and 12:00h. Returns after 12:00 are subject to availability and will incur an additional fee rental.
What do I need to bring to pick up my campervan?
When collecting the motorhome, you must take with you:
- Driving licenses of all named drivers.
- Credit card in the name of the tenant. The same must have sufficient funds to cover any of the bail options.
- Passport / ID.
Where can I pick up and return the campers?
Our delivery office is located at Calle García Marquez 19, 35500 Arrecife, Las Palmas.
Can I pick up the van at the airport?
Our Turtles Van team can pick you up at the airport if we have availability, ask us to book the service.
Can I pick up and deliver to different locations?
The delivery and return point will always be our office located at 19 García Marquez Street, Arrecife. If you have any request, contact us. We will be happy to help you to organize your holidays in the best way.
Can I leave my car at your office?
Unfortunately not. We don't have enough space and only have room for our camper vehicles. However, you will find plenty of free parking around our base.
I arrive before 14:00h. Can you deliver the motorhome to me sooner?
Please let us know if you would like to collect the motorhome earlier. We will analyze the possibility of meeting your request based on our existing schedules and confirm if it is possible. Ask us about the additional fee for early pickup
What happens if I can't arrive on time?
You must notify us as soon as you know you are going to be late. If your arrival time does not coincide with our office hours, additional charges will apply. If you do not notify us of any delays, you will be charged a fee of €25 for the waiting time.
Do I have to clean the camper vehicle before returning it?
Yeah. We keep our prices as low as possible, minimizing the delivery time of the vehicles to the following customers. If the campervan is returned dirty, we will charge a cleaning fee of €30 and up to €100 if the upholstery has been stained.
Do I have to refill the campervan's fuel tank before returning it?
The campervan must be returned washed, swept, surfaces cleaned, toilet emptied and filled with fuel.
CANCELLATIONS
Can I cancel my reservation?
We have changed our cancellation policy to be more flexible, in these uncertain times, so you can book with peace of mind. If for any reason you are unable or unwilling to embark on your Turtles Van adventure, we offer the following options:
- If you cancel more than 60 days before your scheduled pickup time, you will receive a 100% refund.
- If you cancel between 60 days and up to 48 hours of arrival, 30% of the reservation deposit will be deducted (cancellation fees)
- If you cancel between 60 days up to hours before the scheduled pickup time: 100% of the booking price (100 €) will be deducted and retained (no-show fee).
ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND ITEMS
How to use chemical toilet?
Watch this short video and see for yourself. You will have no doubt. The toilet must be returned empty and clean or a €50 cleaning fee will apply.

Can you store my luggage during my trip?
We can store your luggage during the reservation period. However, we are not responsible for any items left on our premises, nor will they be covered by insurance.
INSURANCE
Is my campervan insured?
As standard, the price of your campervan includes the Basic Protection plan. Check out the other options and more details here.
Can I add additional collision damage waiver coverage when picking up the campervan?
Yes, you can change your current coverage when you arrive. Payment can be made upon arrival in cash or card.
What happens if my classic camper breaks down?
We have a team of full-time mechanics, always available for any unforeseen event. We will evaluate the problem by phone and, if we believe it has an easy solution, we will send one of our mechanics. If the problem is major, we will ask you to travel to our nearest base or bring the vehicle to our workshop to fix it. If necessary, we will exchange you for another vehicle if one is available and suitable for your group. If not, we will provide accommodation until we fix it. We have years of experience with classic VW vehicles and have all the parts to fix any situation.
What happens if I have an accident?
If you have an accident, call the local police, take photos of the vehicles involved and their position on the road, and fill out the accident report that you will find in the glove compartment. TRIPS
Do you have recommendations for where to sleep?
Yes, all our clients have access to our list of our favorite places to spend the night in the camper van.
Is the island safe?
Lanzarote is a very calm and welcoming island, and we have never had a problem with any of our clients. You can choose between sleeping in secluded places without people or on busier beaches where you will sleep accompanied by other vans or motorhomes, we ourselves will share with you.
Please feel welcome in Lanzarote, is a safe and pleasant island for everyone.
Does the island have public bathrooms?
Yes, the island has different public bathrooms in addition to showers where you can have a little more privacy.
What water capacity do the vans have?
All our vans have tanks of between 50 and 100 liters of capacity. This will give you autonomy for a few days. In any case, upon your arrival we will inform you of the places where you will be able to refill the water tanks.
Do the vans have electricity?
Our campervans are equipped with a solar panel, double battery and USB connectors where you will be able to charge your devices.
How do refrigerators work?
The refrigerators are connected to teh second battery so you have total autonomy to have the refrigerator running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
ANIMALS
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, surely you can and at Turltes Van we love dogs. We charge an additional fee of €50. This is to ensure that the camper is thoroughly cleaned and in perfect condition for the next customer.
